Developer API Terms

Effective Date: September 2, 2026

These Developer API Terms (“API Terms”) govern access to and use of any application programming interface, API credential, API documentation, sandbox environment, or related developer tool made available by HailGeeks (collectively, the “API”).

For purposes of these API Terms, “HailGeeks,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Northern Infinity Group, LLC, doing business as HailGeeks. “You” and “your” mean the business account holder to which API access is granted and any person using the API on that account’s behalf.

These API Terms are incorporated into and supplement the Website Terms of Use, the Business Account Terms, and, with respect to any credit-funded or otherwise paid API usage, the Paid Services Terms. If there is a conflict between these API Terms and those documents with respect to the API, these API Terms control, except that a separate signed agreement expressly governing the API controls to the extent of a direct conflict.

By requesting, activating, accessing, or using the API, you agree to these API Terms.

1. Business-Only API Access

The API is offered only for business use and only to businesses and authorized business representatives. The API is not offered for personal, family, or household purposes.

API access requires an approved business account. Production API access may require a separate application, additional review, and approval, and may be limited to certain account types, business categories, usage profiles, or other eligibility criteria we establish from time to time. Approval is discretionary, and we may grant, limit, condition, deny, suspend, or revoke API access in our sole discretion.

2. Sandbox and Production Environments

Where offered, a sandbox or test environment is provided for evaluation and integration testing only. Sandbox usage may be funded by free test credits that have no monetary or commercial value, and sandbox outputs are test outputs that may not be used for any commercial, operational, or customer-facing purpose.

Production API usage that generates reports or other credit-funded outputs is charged in report credits at the rates disclosed within the platform or documentation at or before the time of the request, in the manner described in the Paid Services Terms. Credits reserved for a request that fails or cannot be completed by our systems are automatically released back to your account credit balance.

3. API Credentials and Security

API credentials are issued to your business account and are confidential. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API credentials and for all activity conducted with them, whether or not authorized by you.

You may not share, publish, sell, sublicense, or transfer API credentials outside the authorized business. You must use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your credentials and must promptly notify us of any suspected loss, theft, or compromise.

We may rotate, expire, disable, or reissue API credentials at any time for security, operational, or platform-protection reasons.

4. Acceptable API Use

You agree not to, directly or indirectly:

  • a. use the API for any unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or unauthorized purpose;
  • b. exceed, circumvent, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, volume limits, usage limits, or other technical or operational controls;
  • c. use the API to scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data beyond the documented functionality made available to your account;
  • d. resell, redistribute, republish, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit API access or API outputs outside the authorized business, except as expressly permitted by us in writing;
  • e. use the API or its outputs to create, support, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product, service, directory, or dataset;
  • f. interfere with or disrupt the API, servers, networks, or security features, or attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
  • g. misrepresent the origin, authorship, or authenticity of API outputs, or remove, alter, or obscure any branding, disclaimer, verification element, or proprietary notice delivered with API outputs; or
  • h. use the API in a manner that creates risk, liability, reputational harm, fraud risk, or technical harm to us, users, or third parties;
  • i. use an API output as proof that property damage did or did not occur, or as the sole basis for an insurance claim, claim denial, underwriting decision, adjustment, appraisal, safety decision, repair decision, legal conclusion, or other professional or regulated determination;
  • j. state or imply that an API output is an inspection, engineering determination, certification of damage, insurance determination, legal opinion, or professional opinion; or
  • k. modify, summarize, combine, or present an API output in a manner that materially misrepresents its meaning, source, limitations, verification status, or informational nature.

4A. Customer and Property Data You Submit

You represent and warrant that you have the lawful right and appropriate authority to submit addresses, parcel or geographic information, property information, customer references, bulk files, Personal Information, and other input data through the API, and that your submission and processing of that data does not violate any privacy, confidentiality, data-protection, contractual, or other applicable obligation.

You agree to use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect input data, API outputs, and any personal information handled through your integration from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and to avoid submitting sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the requested service.

5. Rate Limits and Operational Controls

We may impose, change, and enforce rate limits, concurrency limits, volume limits, geographic limits, feature limits, technical requirements, and other operational controls for the API at any time. We may throttle, queue, delay, or reject requests that exceed applicable limits or that we determine create operational or security risk.

6. API Outputs

API outputs, including reports and related data, are digital informational records generated from radar-derived data and related platform data as processed and made available through our systems as of the time of generation. API outputs are subject to the informational-use provisions, disclaimers, and restrictions of the Website Terms of Use, the Business Account Terms, and the Paid Services Terms, including the provisions addressing reports and verification links.

We do not warrant that the API or any API output will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Permitted use of API outputs. You may use API outputs internally for your authorized business purposes. You may provide an unmodified report or other approved output to your own customer only where permitted by your production-access approval and the API documentation, and only with any required HailGeeks branding, verification link, and disclaimer intact. You may not resell raw API access, may not offer the API or its outputs as a standalone data product, and may not use API outputs to create a competing product, service, directory, or dataset.

7. Fees and Credits

Except for any free sandbox usage we make available, API usage that generates reports or other credit-funded outputs is a Paid Service charged in report credits under the Paid Services Terms. Credit purchases, credit treatment, refunds, chargebacks, and related billing matters are governed by the Paid Services Terms and the Refund, Cancellation and Digital Delivery Policy.

8. Changes, Versioning, and Availability

We may add, modify, version, deprecate, suspend, or discontinue any API endpoint, feature, data field, response format, environment, or related functionality at any time. Where reasonably practicable, we may provide advance notice of material breaking changes to production endpoints, but we are not obligated to maintain any particular version or functionality.

API availability is not guaranteed, and no service-level commitment, uptime guarantee, or support commitment applies unless set out in a separate signed agreement.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, disable, or revoke API access or API credentials, with or without notice, if:

  • a. you violate these API Terms, the Website Terms of Use, the Business Account Terms, or the Paid Services Terms;
  • b. your payment is overdue, invalid, disputed, reversed, or cannot be processed, or your credit balance is insufficient for requested usage;
  • c. your account or registration information is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or incomplete;
  • d. your usage creates risk, liability, reputational harm, fraud risk, or technical harm to us, users, or third parties;
  • e. you fail verification or no longer satisfy applicable platform or eligibility requirements; or
  • f. we determine the action is necessary to protect the integrity, security, or operation of the platform.

Upon termination of API access, your right to use the API and API credentials ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including provisions relating to payment obligations, credit treatment, confidentiality, restrictions on use of outputs, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

10. Disclaimers, Liability, Indemnification, and Disputes

The disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification obligations, governing-law provisions, and dispute-resolution provisions of the Website Terms of Use apply to the API and these API Terms.
