Hail Report Description: A vertically stacked area of low pressure over Kansas produced a large area of thunderstorms over the northern half of Kansas late in the afternoon. By early evening, these thunderstorms had moved into southeast Nebraska. Strong cyclonic flow around the cold upper low allowed tornadoes to spin down over Nemaha, Johnson, Cass, and Lancaster Counties in Nebraska; and Fremont County in Iowa.
