Wind Report Description: Severe thunderstorms hit Idaho once again bringing large hail, gusty winds and some brief heavy rain. Wind and hail damage occured in several locations. Gusts to 70 mph in Butte and Clark Counties tipped over two tractor-semitrailer. In Rathdrum property damage was estimated at $1 million. New Plymouth suffered crop damage. One man was injured by 1.5 inch hail near Black Creek along Interstate 84. Due to heavy rains the Big Wood River rose to flood stage flooding some riverfront property near Ketchum.

Tornado Report Description: Several funnel clouds were sighted in the same area, northwest of Hallock. After several brief touchdowns, one tornado remained on the ground one mile northwest of Hallock and traveled south to southeast to three miles east of the town of Kennedy. The tornado collapsed the roof of the grandstands at the Kittson County Fairgrounds, where 800 people had been several minutes earlier. Many homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed in Hallock. Path length, width and property damage were estimated.
