Wind Report Description: Scattered severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds hit early and again late in the day in west-central, central, and south-central Wisconsin. Powerful thunderstorm winds blew over many large trees and overturned a haywagon northeast of Osceola (Polk County). Two mobile homes were damaged by limbs and a barn destroyed by these winds near Osceola (Polk County). Hail 2.5 inches in diameter damaged a shed and grain bin south of Amery near Black Brook Dam (Polk County). One-inch diameter hail fell at Greenwood (Clark County) with 1.75 inch diameter hail near Rome (Adams County) during the morning. Powerful winds blew a satellite dish over near Vesper, and knocked over trees in the Wisconsin Rapids and Grand Rapids areas, all in Wood County). Hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter fell at Port Edwards (Wood County). Then, during the evening, violent thunderstorm winds knocked down large trees and/or limbs in Maiden Rock (St. Croix County), Durand (Pepin County), west of Eau Claire (Eau Claire County), and in Mondovi (Buffalo County). In addition, a tractor-semitrailer truck was blown off the Interstate Highway west of Eau Claire.

Wind Report Description: A severe thunderstorm over the lower Susquehanna River caused wind damage to townships on both banks of the river. In east central York County numerous trees were uprooted in Wrightsville and Lower Windsor Township. Wind damage in Lower Windsor Township was estimated at $10 thousand. Boathouse Road (For 1.5 miles) and Pennsylvania State Route 624 were closed because of fallen trees. Fallen trees damaged at least one home. Wind damaged about a dozen boats at the Susquehanna Yacht Club and Long Level Marina. Several boats were thrown ashore, a pontoon boat was overturned and a flag was torn off a pole. On the other side of the Susquehanna, the severe thunderstorm tore panels from an abandoned commercial building in Columbia.
