Hail Report Description: Dime sized hail at Dairy Ashford and Bissonnet in southwest Houston.Several large supercells formed along a strong cold front bringing 2 tornadoes and several reports of large hail to the northwest counties in southeast Texas on the evening of the 10th. Burleson County was the hardest hit with a tornado that cut a 21 mile swath through the center of the county and produced damage up to F3 status, with over 20 homes damaged or destroyed. Several reports of baseball-sized hail were also received from the county, including reports of damage to cars and homes in Caldwell. Hail damage to cars was also reported on the south side of Lake Conroe. Other reports of hail up to golfball size were common. The storms evolved into a broken squall line and gradually weakened as they moved into the coastal counties.

Wind Report Description: A thunderstorm associated with a bow echo produced wind estimated at 80 to 100 miles an hour as it raced through western Jefferson County. The Oak Grove High School sustained significant damage. The school was in the process of being rebuilt after the devastating F5 tornado in 1998. Fifty thousand square feet of the roof was either twisted and buckled or completely torn off. A three hundred and fifty pound metal air vent was thrown more than 200 yards. A few trees in the area were also blown down.

Wind Report Description: A large bow echo, accompanied by downburst wind of 70 to 100 miles per hour moved along Interstate 20/59 through the city of Tuscaloosa and ended near the city of Cottondale. The storm damage path was about 10 miles long and 4 miles wide. The most concentrated damage ran parallel to both Interstate 20 and US 11 in the city of Tuscaloosa. A 52 year old woman was killed when an advertising sign board was blown down onto her as she was approaching a hotel lobby. Numerous sign boards and trees were either blown down or snapped off. Numerous homes received varying degrees of damage, and area businesses also sustained major damage. One motor home was overturned on Interstate 20/59. Several automobiles were damaged or destroyed by falling trees. The Mimosa Park Country Club reported damage to several structures. Dime to golfball size hail was also reported with these storms. Thousands of customers were left without power for many hours.

Tornado Report Description: A weak tornado moved through mostly rural parts of northern Perry County. Numerous trees were blown down or snapped off along the 7 mile path of the tornado. At the Heiberger Grocery Store, one large portable building used for voting was totally destroyed, a glass gas sign was blown out by the high winds, windows were broken, one wall of a building was moved, and the store sustained minor roof damage. Several homes in Heiberger also had minor roof damage. One mobile home had a tree fall on it. Beginning: 32 45.800/87 23.260 Ending: 32 47.050/87 15.771

Tornado Report Description: Tornado touched down near Harmony at 1955 CST with significant tree damage including an 18 inch diameter tree blown down. A trailer was also significantly damaged. Tornado then tracked to just south of Center Line with mostly F0 tree damage along its path. Tornado then reached the Pin Oak subdivision at about 2022 CST. Several trailers, including a double-wide, were destroyed. A total of 7 homes were destroyed and another 10 severely damaged in this area, with damage reaching F2 status. Tornado then struck a ranch on the south side of FM 1361 with large trees uprooted or cut in half and windows blown out and portion of roof torn off large frame house. Several rural outbuildings at the ranch which had been bolted down were destroyed. Damage in this area was rated F3 with damage swath up to a half mile wide. Tornado then tracked to just north of Clay by 2051 CST with a narrow swath of F0 to F1 tree damage along the path. When tornado passed north of Clay before dissipating, car was blown off road and damage swath reached 200 yards wide.
