Wind Report Description: The Taylor County Emergency Management Director reported that strong thunderstorm winds caused considerable damage in the Mauk area. The roof was blown off a home. An adjacent beauty shop was also damaged. Another home in the nearby area also sustained damage from the strong winds. A number of trees were down across the county, many in the Mauk area. Several power lines were also blown or knocked down.

Wind Report Description: The Talbot county sheriff and the public reported that a number of large 100-year old pecan and several large oak trees from Box Springs to Juniper were either blown down or uprooted. Several of the trees were four to five feet in diameter. One home sustained significant damage when a large oak tree fell on the structure. The path of wind damage covered an area six to seven miles long in the far southwest and south central part of the county.

Tornado Report Description: Tornado remained west and northwest of Crosby. The tornado hit no structures and no damage was reported to the National Weather Service. A second tornado was occurring in Divide County around the same time 21 miles southwest of Crosby.

Tornado Report Description: Tornado tore the roof off of an outbuilding on a farm about 21 miles southwest of Crosby and tore down part of a corral fence. It then crossed open rangeland and did no other damage. Estimated wind speed based on the EF scale was 100 mph. A second tornado was occurring closer to Crosy, Divide County, at around the same time.
