Tornado Report Description: This was the 3rd segment of a tornado that began in Fayette county Pennsylvania, crossed Preston county West Virginia, and then moved into Garrett county Maryland and dissipated. The tornado entered Garrett county about one and one quarter miles north northwest of Sand Spring, and dissipated just east of Accident. The storm caused EF0 damage in Garrett county with maximum winds estimated at 85 MPH, a path length of nearly four and one quarter miles, and a maximum width of 150 yards. Damage in Friendsville was to 12 homes and 2 businesses with minor roof damage, 2 mobile homes with major damage, and 1 small trailer destroyed. Damage in Accident was to 12 homes with minor roof damage, and 2 homes with major damage. Much of the damage was due to large trees falling on structures.

Tornado Report Description: This was segment 2 of a 3 segment tornado that originated in Fayette county Pennsylvania and continued into Garrett county Maryland. This EF0 tornado entered Preston county from Fayette county Pennsylvania about one and one half miles north of Glade Farms, West Virginia, and exited the county almost 3 miles east southeast of Glade Farms, West Virginia and continued into Garrett county Maryland. This tornado was 100 yards wide at its greatest width and had a path length over 3 miles. Damage was to 2 barns, an out building, and some minor damage to 5 homes including fallen trees on homes, as well siding and roof damage. Maximum sustained winds were estimated at 75 MPH.

The tornado produced mainly tree damage in Fayette county and had a maximum width of 50 yard. Maximum winds were estimated at 60 MPH. This tornado was the first segment of a tornado that then continued southeast into Preston county West Virginia and into Garrett county Maryland.

Tornado Report Description: A National Weather Service storm survey confirmed that a small and brief tornado touched down in Clare county early in the morning of July 30. The tornado was rated an EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale with maximum winds estimated at 80 mph. ||The tornado occurred about three miles north of Clare at 3:17 a.m. A |barn collapsed and the roof of a carport was blown into a stand of trees. Several other trees were either snapped off or uprooted. ||The tornado touched down just northwest of the intersection of South Clare Avenue and East Surrey Road and traveled east northeast about 2,000 feet before lifting. The width of the tornado was only 50 yards and it was on the ground for only about a minute.
