Hail Report Description: A swath of damaging hail accompanied a severe thunderstorm that impacted portions of northwestern Lynn County around 20:30 CST. Up to 10,000 acres of mature cotton crops were damaged or destroyed. Residents of Lakeview reported that quarter to ping pong ball size hail fell between 20:30 CST and 20:35 CST.

Hail Report Description: Storm chasers and the local emergency manager reported quarter to golfball size hail just northwest of Brownfield along U.S Highway 385 around 19:45 CST. By 20:00 CST, storms and associated hailfall had expanded across the Brownfield vicinity and half dollar size hail was reported at the Terry County Airport along U.S. Highway 380 east of Brownfield. A swath of damaging hail then damaged and destroyed 25,000 acres of cotton crops as the parent thunderstorm complex moved northeastward toward the Terry and Lynn County line southeast of Meadow.

Hail Report Description: A thunderstorm produced a swath of large hail as it tracked northeastward over portions of southwestern and central Lubbock County around 17:00 CST. Damage to cotton crops was continuous from northern Terry County into southwestern Lubbock County. Approximately 5,000 acres of cotton were severely damaged or destroyed in cropland south of Wolfforth between 16:50 CST and 17:00 CST. Numerous reports of large hail were additionally received as the severe thunderstorm impacted Lubbock between roughly 17:00 CST and 17:10 CST. Initial reports from the broadcast media indicated that quarter size hail fell near 73rd Street and Slide Road in southwest Lubbock at 16:59 CST. By 17:05 CST, golfball size hail was reported near 55th Street and Utica. Additional reports of quarter size hail were received near 17th Street and Chicago Avenue at 17:10 CST. No damages were reported.

Wind Report Description: Several severe wind gusts caused significant damage in around the town of Blair. At least three dozen homes and business sustained damage of various severity. A portion of an apartment building in downtown Blair, as well as at a daycare lost a significant portion of their roofs. Other rooftops sustained minor to moderate damage. Glass was blown out of several buildings. A couple of mobile homes were blown onto their sides. Carports were destroyed. Numerous trees limbs were downed. A large 80 foot by 50 foot barn northeast of Blair, or a half of mile east on Warren Road, was destroyed. Monetary damage estimates were unavailable.
