Wind Report Description: Swirling winds from a thunderstorm gust front picked up lawn furniture which flew 500 feet, crashed into, and broke the back window of a car traveling along Byron Road west of Prosser. Cushions from the furniture traveled 300-400 yards across the Yakima River. The swirling winds were about 5 yards wide and traveled 250 yards to the north and then dissipated in trees north of the Yakima River.

Tornado Report Description: The tornado was rated EF1 with maximum winds to 95 mph. The path width was 200 yards with a path length of 8.4 miles. The tornado started near Parish road and 11 mile road just west of the community of Beaver. The tornado then moved through Beaver, crossed Interstate 75, and finally across the south part of Linwood before moving out to Saginaw Bay at 737 pm. A barn was destroyed and homes were damaged near Beaver, mostly to garages and roofing material. Numerous trees were uprooted with snapped large limbs.

The tornado was likely enshrouded in downburst winds and heavy rains for part of this track. Two guyed radio towers collapsed, several empty semi-trailers and travel trailers were flipped and thrown, steel wall and roofing panels were torn from industrial buildings, and numerous power poles and trees were snapped. peak winds were estimated at 135 mph.
