A swath of straight-line winds was evident via high resolution Planet satellite imagery that occurred with a line of severe thunderstorms east of Pleasant Grove and north of Highway 84 near Van Hoover West Road. An approximately 670-yard-wide swath of tree damage was evident west of Van Hoover West Road generally in the 60 to 70mph range. The swath of winds narrowed but became more intense east of the road with peak wind estimates around 80 to 90mph.

In coordination with Pamlico County Emergency Management... a survey of damage along HWY 55 in Stonewall found damage consistent with straight line winds of 80 to 90 mph. In this area... a mobile home strapped down with hurricane ties was moved 3 to 4 feet off its foundation. The ties were ripped out of the ground. The home sustained damage to siding and windows. An occupant inside the home during the storm sustained injuries. The home was blown off the foundation towards the east. A nearby home on Spain Farm Road sustained minor damage to a patio and outdoor light fixtures. Time estimated based on observer report and radar.

Tornado Report Description: High resolution satellite imagery revealed an EF1 tornado began along Waynesboro Shubuta Road tracking east-southeast for roughly 2 miles. The tornado primarily damaged forest reaching a peak width of 200 yards just east of Waynesboro Shubuta Road. A couple older outbuildings appeared to have been damaged to destroyed via high resolution satellite imagery. The tornado lifted shortly after crossing Yellow Creek Church Drive.

The tornado began north of Pascagoula Road solely in forest causing minor tree damage. While there is a gap in visible damage on satellite imagery... radar tornado debris signature persists east connecting with another small corridor of tree damage near Ramsey Road and Boe Road. This is where the end point of the tornado is estimated as any visible damage associated with the radar signature disappears after reaching I-10.

This is the third of three EF1 tornadoes within the Pleasant Grove area... with these final two tornadoes featuring a unique interaction as they continued to the east. This southernmost tornado began southwest of Old Highway 84 Loop causing minor sporadic tree damage. The tornado intensified to EF1 intensity as it began to cause more significant tree damage visible via Sentinel 2 satellite imagery southwest of Daniel Roney Drive. The tornado merged into the northern tornado path along Daniel Roney Drive. Due to uncertainty on which tornado remained dominant towards the northeast... this tornado track is estimated to have ended just after crossing Daniel Roney Road as it turned northward into the other tornado track. The peak width is also estimated at approximately 50 yards based on the damage corridor southwest of Daneil Roney Drive.
