Tornado Report Description: A survey of damage confirmed a brief EF1 tornado... embedded within an area of straightline wind damage. The tornado touched down southeast of Hawthorne Elementary School and proceeded quickly ESE... eventually lifting near the intersection of Bismark Rd and S Main St. Numerous trees were uprooted... partially due to the wet ground conditions... as well as several snapped tree limbs and trunks. The greatest damage occurred in the area of Mather Ave... between Carlton Ave and Naomi St. Winds were estimated in the 85 to 90 mph range with a maximum width of 250 yards.
