Some of the stronger storms generated gusty and damaging outflow winds estimated to be at least 60 mph in strength. According to the Department of Highways, strong winds downed power lines in the town of Florence Junction at about 2123MST. The downed power lines resulted in the closure of U.S. 60 at Milepost 210.

In addition to producing dense blowing dust in the greater Phoenix area, some of the storms generated strong wind gusts in excess of 50 mph. At 630 pm, a trained spotter near Queen Valley reported a thunderstorm wind gust estimated to be 60 mph. No damage occurred as a result of the strong gust.
