Tornado Report Description: The EF2 tornado affected mainly rural areas northeast of Rochester MN beginning about 5 miles east-northeast of Viola in Olmsted county around 2:46 pm. The tornado tracked northeast damaging trees and outbuildings. One farm house lost a complete roof and a garage lost roof portions. The tornado ended in Wabasha county a few miles southeast of Plainview MN at 3:00 pm. Maximum winds were estimated at around 125 mph near the farm house residence.

Tornado Report Description: The tornado began in a northeast suburb of Rochester at around 2:30 pm with just shingle damage to homes and traveled northeast into more rural areas. The first portion of the tornado was weak with mainly EF0 damage. On the second portion of the 12 mile track... the tornado intensified to produce approximately 100 mph winds with tree and farm outbuilding damage. The tornado finally lifted at 2:54 pm.

Tornado Report Description: This EF-2 tornado (estimated peak wind 130 mph) formed just northeast of Stewartville around 2:17 pm and traveled about 10 miles northeast damaging numerous homes and farms. Some of the worst damage was seen near Marion Road just northeast of Highway 52 where homes were more severely damaged with roof removal and partially collapsed exterior walls. The tornado was on the ground for about 14 minutes using radar estimation. At its widest... mainly in rural areas... it was approximately 175 yards.

Tornado Report Description: An EF1 tornado produced intermittent damage starting near 50th Ave NW just south of the Northern Hills Golf Course northeast almost to the intersection of 55th St NW and and 23rd Ave NW in the city of Rochester. The path of the tornado took it through a residential area where several homes were damaged. It also struck a Menards store doing extensive damage before dissipating a few minutes later. According to media reports, the tornado damaged at least 30 homes, one of which was destroyed.
