Wind Report Description: A severe thunderstorm knocked down numerous trees in Toms River Township. Nearly half of all of the 26,200 outages in Jersey Central Power and Light's service area in Ocean County occurred within the township. There were forty-three downed trees, forty-four separate reports of downed wires and/or poles, two blown transformers and over a dozen reports of property damage throughout the township. On the morning of the 8th, there were still about 11,000 customers throughout Ocean County that did not have their power restored.

Wind Report Description: Another strong microburst from a severe thunderstorm knocked down numerous trees in northeastern Ocean County including Toms River (Dover Township) and in the Beechwood and Bayville sections of Berkeley Township. In Berkeley Township, there 100 weather related calls to emergency responders. Many roads were closed by downed trees. A VFW building suffered wind damage. Wind damage in Toms River was concentrated around Windsor Avenue. A wind gust of 59 mph was measured in Brick Township and a wind gust of 60 mph was measured at Seaside Heights.

Wind Report Description: A severe thunderstorm knocked down numerous trees and wires from Stafford Township north through Barnegat Township into Toms River Township. Stafford Township alone responded to twenty-six separate weather related calls. Many of the calls were about downed power lines, but there were also dozens of trees uprooted. A couple of downed trees damaged homes and vehicles. In Barnegat Township, downed trees and wires blocked roadways for up to two hours. In Toms River Township, trees and wires were also knocked down. This included the intersection of Hooper Avenue and New Jersey State Route 37. Power was restored to all by the night of the 27th, with only 66 homes and businesses still without power on the 28th.
