Tornado Report Description: *** 1 INJ *** An EF-1 tornado touched down near Casar... North Carolina. The first evidence of damage was observed along Parker Road near Jesse Mountain Road... where several large pine trees were uprooted or snapped near the tops of their trunks. The most concentrated damage occurred as the tornado tracked eastward across Dirty Ankle Road and Ankle Road. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped... and several homes sustained primarily minor damage. An attached porch was displaced several feet from a manufactured home. Trees fell in a convergent pattern... supporting the determination that the damage was tornadic. A camper was overturned... and one person who was inside at the time sustained minor injuries. The tornado continued eastward into far northwestern Lincoln County... producing sporadic tree damage near North Carolina Highway 10 before dissipating near the Lincoln County and Catawba County line. The estimated peak wind speed was 90 mph.

Tornado Report Description: This tornado touched down along Polkville Road... just on the north side of Polkville... where several trees were uprooted. The tornado moved southeast across Casar Road where additional trees were uprooted and snapped. Tree damage continued along W Stage Coach Trail as the tornado moved through the Lawndale area. The tornado crossed Fallston Road just south of Fallston where more tree damage was noted. The tornado reached peak intensity as it approached and moved through Cherryville... uprooting and snapping numerous trees. The greatest area of damage was observed near the intersection of Helton Road and Greenway Ave where dozens of trees were uprooted or snapped. The tornado took another turn to the southeast and downed several more trees near Tryon School Road and Dameron Road. The tornado lifted in a wooded area along Abel Road.

Tornado Report Description: A short tornado path began between Dick Spangler Rd and Fallston Rd north of Shelby. The tornado moved southeast for about one half mile before lifting just east of the intersection of Oakberry St and Fallston Rd. Most of the damage was limited to downed trees and minor structural damage to frame homes. The roof was|blown off a vehicle shed between Wright St and Dick Spangler Rd. Damage was more significant near the end of the path across from Oakberry St. Two mobile homes were|flipped while several other mobile homes received mainly minor damage to underskirting|and roofing. Two men and a woman residing in one of the flipped homes received mainly minor injuries.
