Tornado Report Description: This tornado crossed the state line from Richland County, Montana, in the National Weather Service Glasgow, Montana, County Warning Area, into McKenzie County, North Dakota. It then crossed into Golden Valley County, North Dakota.||The total path length of the tornado was nearly 17 miles. Nearly five of those miles in Richland County, six in McKenzie County, and just over six in Golden Valley County.||No structures were impacted in North Dakota and for those segments it was rated EF0, however, there was EF1 damage in Montana and so the overall tornado is rated EF1. A 79 year old male was injured in Montana as the mobile home he was in, and another mobile home, was damaged. From the EF1 rating, winds were determined to be around 100 mph with the tornado while it was in Montana, with lower speeds in North Dakota.||See StormData entries for this tornado from Richland County and Golden Valley County.

Tornado Report Description: This was a public report, through social media, of a tornado west of New Town, in McKenzie County. The person was uncertain of the exact location from a nearby town and so the location was estimated based on radar data. Through social media there was visual evidence of this tornado with debris visible on the ground, in open country. There were no reports of damage in real time nor in follow up contact with county officials. The tornado was therefore rated EF0. There was wind damage, likely associated with the rear flank downdraft of the parent severe thunderstorm, to the southwest of this tornado track in McKenzie County. Tornado Report Description: Thirteen campers, serving as homes, were completely destroyed and two more were damaged by this tornado. Other damage included a snapped wooden power line pole, automobiles, and fences, both wooden and metal. One automobile was tossed sixty feet and flipped onto its roof, with a trailer parked next to its initial location also flipped and completely destroyed. About a dozen other vehicles were damage, some destroyed. Eye witness reports indicated two other funnel clouds in the immediate area.||Of all the damage surveyed by the National Weather Service the absolute worst corresponded to EF2 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. From that it was determined that the peak wind speeds in the tornado were on the order of 120 mph. ||There were nine direct injuries.

Tornado Report Description: A brief tornado occurred and resulted in a traffic accident with injuries (indirect). A local newpaper article stated that a semi truck hit a downed power line which cut into the cab of the truck. The line then snapped, sending it into a parked vehicle. The semi truck then collided with a third vehicle. Two people were injured (indirect) during this accident. This chain of events occurred after the tornado had passed, leaving the downed line in its wake. The tornado damage to the power line corresponded to EF0 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale.
