Tornado Report Description: Thunderstorms spawned an F0 tornado during the late afternoon of Wednesday August 4th in northwest Lancaster County. The tornado first touched down on Old Line Road, about 3 miles west of Manheim. The tornado traveled east approximately 2 miles along Old Line Road, and lifted near Shumaker Road just northwest of Manheim. Peak winds were estimated at 70 mph. There were no injuries or deaths.The tornado extensively damaged several corn fields, and portions of a vineyard. Dozens of trees were also knocked down.
