Tornado Report Description: A thunderstorm developed over the Davis Mountains in Brewster County during the afternoon. At 3:21 pm CDT, a trained spotter positioned along Highway 90 between Marfa and Alpine witnessed the development of a funnel cloud. At 3:24 pm CDT, the funnel appeared to develop a wall cloud. At 3:30 pm CDT, debris was clearly indicated extending east of Paisano Pass. From another spotter looking at the storm, the tornado appeared to move southwest during its life cycle. The tornado did not seem to last more than four minutes before dissipating at approximately 3:34 pm CDT. The tornado was rated as an EF-O.

Tornado Report Description: A rancher discovered tornado damage on his property in far northeastern Brewster County, just north of U.S. Highway 90. A relatively long and narrow swath of tornadic winds were evident in several groves of trees on the Longfellow Ranch. A stand of oak trees, many four inches in diameter, were snapped at the lower portions of the trunk. No damage to man made structures occurred as a result of the tornado.
