A SERVICE STATION CANOPY ALONG US HIGHWAY 49 COLLAPSED INTO THE PUMPS AND CONVENIENCE STORE. IN THE CORRIDOR OF STRONGEST WINDS... WHICH OCCURRED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF DOWNTOWN MENDENHALL... WIND SPEEDS WERE ESTIMATED TO BE UP TO 90 MPH... WITH TREE DAMAGE OBSERVED ON MOST STREETS IN THAT AREA. |
