Hail Report Description: A severe thunderstorm developed over central Platte County of southeastern Wyoming on the evening of the 14th and struck the area near Wheatland. This storm produced a small tornado southwest of Wheatland which moved northeast at struck the southern part of the city. Two garages were leveled, one of which was torn from its foundation and thrown into a heap on the opposite side of the road. A covered porch was also torn from a house and thrown across the street. Several large trees were twisted off at their bases and tossed about. Large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain also accompanied the storm. Hail up to the size of golf balls, which was left standing four to six inches deep after the storm, demolished a car dealership causing $15,000 damage. This storm also produced damaging winds north of Wheatland which sheared off acres of 6 foot corn stalks at the ground and snapped four power poles at their bases. No one was injured in the storm.

Wind Report Description: Severe thunderstorms developed in eastern Oklahoma during the afternoon of July 14th. Strong thunderstorm winds as high as 82 mph resulted in considerable wind damage in the city of Tulsa. Numerous trees and power lines were downed throughout the city, and a billboard sign was blown down near the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and State Highway 51. Some roof damage occurred at Tulsa Junior College. Strong thunderstorm winds near Catoosa partially blew a sign off a building at a truck stop and damaged an air conditioner and pipes on the roof of the truck stop. Gutters were torn from a convenience store and several trees were downed 2.5 miles east of Broken Arrow. Strong thunderstorm winds in Warner blew the top of a trailer off and downed trees onto a house and car near Connors State College. Thunderstorm winds blew down a barn and several large trees just west of Paden and caused roof damage to a school in Foyil. Winds in Foyil were estimated at 60 mph. Numerous trees were downed in and near Afton, and a large tree was downed across State Highway 28 near Adair. Numerous large tree limbs were downed in Vinita, and power lines were downed near Muldrow. Trees were downed by 65-mph winds in Catoosa, and thunderstorm winds gusted to 70 mph at Broken Bow. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 to 70 mph at Mannford and to 65 mph near Inola. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 mph at Warner, 2 miles northwest of Tulsa at the Tulsa Country Club, 1 mile south of Chelsea, and at Afton. Hail up to 2 inches in diameter fell in the city of Tulsa, with the largest hail falling just southwest of downtown. Most of the hail across the rest of the city was dime size or smaller. Hail up to 1.50 inches in diameter fell at Jennings. Quarter-size hail fell 6 miles west of Maramec, and nickel-size hail fell at Warner. Dime-size hail fell 3 miles west of Sand Springs, at Catoosa, at Vinita, and 1 mile east of Lenapah. The thunderstorms also produced very heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding in the city of Tulsa. Downtown Tulsa streets were waist deep in water, and numerous other streets throughout the city were flooded. Numerous cars were stalled due to the high water. One underpass in downtown Tulsa had 14 feet of water covering it. An elderly woman was rescued from her flooded home in Tulsa. Very heavy rainfall in Sequoyah County also resulted in flash flooding in Muldrow. Several street in Muldrow were barricaded, with water as much as 3 feet deep in the Fisher Addition on the west side of town.
