Hail Report Description: Winds gusted over 60 mph at times across the northwest third of Ohio as a low pressure center passed through the northern Great Lakes. The highest measured wind gust was 63 mph at Columbus Grove (Putnam). Damage, for the most part, was not significant, with scattered trees, limbs, and power lines downed. A roof was reported blown off a trailer in Butler County at 0408EST. At 0445EST a church under construction in Findlay (Hancock) was severely damaged when much of the framing blew over. A chimney was toppled in Mansfield (Richland) and a motorist was injured in Port Clinton (Ottawa) when her vehicle was blown off the road after which she could not regain control. Fire departments battled a number of fires started from embers from leaf burning then regenerated from the strong winds.

Wind Report Description: Severe thunderstorms caused damage in Bethlehem and Forks Townships. In Bethlehem, there were numerous trees and power lines down. The hardest hit areas were located east of the Northampton Community College and the Penn Highway and Sheridan Drive intersection. The wind lifted a wrought iron table and flung it into a neighboring house and punctured five holes in the siding. In Forks Township, the hardest hit area was in the Green Trail area. Trees were snapped. A trailer was pushed across a driveway into a tree and a plastic moisture barrier was ripped off a house.

Wind Report Description: Dozens of trees were uprooted throughout southeastern Monroe County. In Syndersville, two trees landed and totaled a trailer home. In Saylorsburg, a piece of a barn roof was peeled off and hurled 150 feet. Elsewhere in town damaging winds tore a trailer roof and a porch from a house. Five trees fell on one house in Analomink. A roof was blown off in Ross Township. Throughout the county about 2,250 Pennsylvania Power and Light customers lost power.

Wind Report Description: A line of severe thunderstorms produced damage throughout the northwest half of Montgomery County. The worst damage (about 75K) was done on the campus of Ursinus College in Collegeville. A large stained glass window was shattered. Shingles were ripped off the roof of Bomberger Hall. About 30 trees were uprooted and damaged several dormitories. Around 100 students were temporarily homeless. Elsewhere in Collegeville a half dozen homes were damaged by the wind and flying containers damaged four cars. In Zieglersville two barns lost their roofs. A child was injured when she was blown off the steps of her house. In Limerick, a 3,600 square foot aluminum storage barn was destroyed and a four horse trailer was toppled. In Trappe two tractor trailers traveling in opposite directions were toppled on Pennsylvania State Route 422. About 7,000 of the 22,000 Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) outages this afternoon occurred within Montgomery County.

Tornado Report Description: A tornado briefly touched down in the village of Loch Arbour around 6 pm EST at the intersection of Euclid and Edgemont Avenues. The tornado lifted between Spier and Corlies Avenue about 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean. About five homes on Euclid Avenue suffered substantial roof damage. Most of the eight other homes which sustained minor damage were on Buena Vista Court. About two dozen trees were uprooted. Most of them were decaying within. Tops were sheared off a number of other trees. Damage was estimated at $75,000.

Tornado Report Description: The squall line which produced earlier tornado and microburst events in central Maryland continued to wreak havoc in eastern Harford Co. Two F0 tornadoes produced minor roof, siding, and gutter damage, as well as softwood tree damage, in a relatively narrow path. More substantial damage occurred at the Perryman Unit 1 Baltimore Gas and Electric Facility, where a 70 ton air duct, 12 feet high and 50 feet wide, was blown off an elevated steel girder platform (20 feet high) into the side of an electrical control building, destroying most of the building. Eyewitness in the vicinity also watched an 8- by 30-foot trailer become airborne before blowing apart. Debris was seen rotating as it descended into a nearby field.

Tornado Report Description: Two devastating tornadoes ripped through working-class neighborhoods in central Baltimore City, causing upwards of $3 million in damage to 150 buildings. Up to 200 families were displaced by the storms. Although the damaged neighborhoods were not declared federal disaster areas, FEMA officials were helping the city's Department of Housing and Community Development prepare applications for federal aid from HUD. The West-Central tornado began near the intersection of Edmonston Ave. and Monroe St, and moved northeast, just past the Harlem Park Elementary School. The storm continued down Mosher Street before lifting at Mason Avenue a few blocks west of Interstate 83. Many roofs were blown off row houses in the Harlem Park area. Windows were blown out, and some building sides were blown down. The East-Central tornado began near the intersection of Federal Street and Greenmount along the west side of Greenmount Cemetary. The tornado travelled east-northeast across Aisquith Street and the 1200 block of North Avenue, where the heaviest damage of all the storms was realized. The tornado continued to Harford Road before lifting just west of Clifton Park. Similar damage, to the upper floors and roofs of row houses, occurred with this tornado. Amazingly, no one was injured or killed, perhaps since the most affected were either at work or school. A few eyewitness claim they saw a funnel cloud prior to damage occurrence.
