Tornado Report Description: A NWS storm survey found that a EF1 tornado with maximum estimated wind speeds of 105 mph briefly touched down destroying a mobile home causing one injury. The tornado was small with a path length less than 100 yards and a path width of 10 yards. ||The touchdown occurred in a field between Newland Road and Basnight Lane. It then hit a single wide mobile home and immediately lifted back up. The mobile home was lifted off its foundation and rolled, ending up 45 degrees from its original alignment. Debris was scattered both upstream and downstream from the damaged mobile home with some debris lofted into nearby power lines. Adjacent mobile homes had minimal damage mainly to skirting. The injury occurred to a single male occupant who received a broken shoulder, lacerations, and bruises.

Tornado Report Description: A NWS survey of damage and eyewitness reports of a possible tornado was performed near Nappanee. Four different eyewitnesses reported a tornado touch down at a business on the south side of US 6 and quickly track north across US 6, ending near County Road 54. Minor shingle and soffit damage was observed to 2 businesses. Small branches were also broken in the area. Eyewitnesses reported that branches and leaves were being bent upwards into the circulation but remained generally intact. Wind speed are estimated in the 70 to 75 mph range.

Tornado Report Description: The tornado began at approximately 12:33 AM EDT around 6 miles west of North Vernon along County Road 700 West between County Roads 150 North and 300 North. The tornado destroyed a pole barn, damaged 2 homes, overturned tractors, downed trees and telephone poles, and laid down a corn field before lifting around 12:34 AM EDT. One of the homes had its roof blown off. There were no injuries. The path was approximately a half mile long and 75 yards wide. Based on the damage, the tornado was rated an EF1 on the Enhanced Fujita scale with winds estimated near 100 mph.

Tornado Report Description: This short-lived tornado occurred along Highway 813. One framed home and one mobile home were destroyed. There was minor damage to two framed homes. Four sheds were destroyed. Power lines were blown down. Several large trees were downed or uprooted. The destroyed mobile home was thrown about 30 feet into a tree. The lone resident of the mobile home was ejected, but he sustained no injuries requiring treatment. The destroyed framed home lost most of the roof, and bricks were shifted. Peak winds were estimated near 120 mph.

It moved southeast through the Stanton subdivision, heavily damaging four trailer homes and caused minor to moderate damage to several other homes and outbuildings. It continued to move southeast causing tree damage, and widened as it moved into the northwest side of the city of Cleveland. As the tornado moved through the north side of Cleveland, it snapped and uprooted numerous trees, blew the signs out of several restaurants and stores, blew the doors out of the automotive area of a department store, and blew out a wall and a large part of a roof of another commercial building. Several homes suffered shingle damage and power lines were downed. The tornado then turned more eastward, continuing to cause tree damage as it moved along and just north of State Highway 8 east of Cleveland. Additional power lines were downed and a few more homes suffered minor roof damage due to wind or branches falling on them. As the tornado crossed into Sunflower County it moved more southeast again. It snapped several wooden power poles along and just south of Highway 8 along Mallette-Jones Road, along with destroying a greenhouse type structure and causing some roof damage to a frame home. The tornado continued to cause tree damage in a relatively narrow path as it crossed Walker Road, and then dissipated before reaching Lusk Road. Maximum wind speeds were estimated at 100 mph.

Tornado Report Description: A citizen observed a funnel cloud briefly touch down in a mostly vacant lot near the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 417 in Orlando. The landspout tornado picked up some sand and dust, which was lifted aloft within a debris cloud. The touchdown lasted between 30 and 60 seconds and resulted in no damage. Observations from three nearby construction workers suggest the winds were well below severe limits (estimated at only 30-35 mph).
