Wind Report Description: The Washington County Emergency Management Director reported that more than 50 hardwood and pine trees were down along a sporadic path from just west-southwest of Harrison at the intersection of Adams Circle and Georgia Highway 15 eastward to Red Hill Drive just west of Wrightsville-Riddleville Road, east-southeast of Harrison. Five large pine trees were down on Adams Circle, one causing considerable damage to a barn. On South Railroad Avenue, some minor structural damage was noted, also from downed trees. From 40-50 trees were down along Red Hill Drive. It was concluded that because nearly all of the trees were blown down in one direction that this was caused by a downburst or straight-line winds and not a tornado.
