Wind Report Description: A storm survey confirmed damage from a wet microburst that damaged many trees and several buildings just northwest of Ratcliff. The area surveyed covered an area roughly one half mile wide and 2 to 3 miles in length. Based on damage, northwest winds gusted as high as 70 to 75 mph. Along with many downed trees, two homes on Kingswood Road near Hillcrest Road had large sections of their roof taken off and thrown several hundred yards to the southwest. Several homes on Scenic Drive has substantial garage and siding damage. Two businesses at a strip mall just off of Highway 31W had sections of their roof damaged. Hail up to penny size fell for 20 minutes and produced some drifts up to one foot high.
